BROOKE MARIE BOLLERMANN
Artwork Portfolio
Welcome to my CV & Portfolio. I have created this to offer additional insight into my abilities as an artist, student and human. I hope you enjoy looking through my work!

I BELIEVE IN FORWARD MOTION,
NOT JUST MOVEMENT ...
In a society that glorifies endings and crossing finish lines, I would much rather focus on the space in and around the "race" and am more inspired by how people arrive vs. whether they do.
I was young when I realized that a simple change in environment could help you feel renewed. I spent most of my days overwhelmed. Everyday felt like a battle, with me squarely in the crossfire. My parents would suggest I take a moment to myself; not calling it time-out but essentially that's what it was. I'd head to my favorite corner and immediately begin to feel the tightness in my body release. At some point I began journaling. Looking back at my musings it's clear where I found strength ... more than words, or doodles, there are pages of roomscapes, places where I'd dream of textures, colors and intentional spatial plans offered to bring back control.
Spending many middle school & early high school weekends at horse competitions, I had the opportunity to speak with my friend's parents, two of whom are considered top interior designers in the Southeast. I began to see my path. I enrolled in the interior design courses my high school offered. I attended summer immersion programs at SCAD, the University of Cincinnati DAAP program, and the New York School of Interior Design. I volunteer at a local non-profit that helps families transitioning out of poverty upfit their new homes with donated furniture and housewares. And I intern at The English Room, a residential interior design firm in Charlotte. I have been lucky. I realized early what I want to do with my life and have been moving forward on my journey ever since ...
Now it's time to ground my one-off experiences in true interior design scholarship ...
ONWARD!
